I'm Serena A., the breeder behind Pole Canyon Australian Shepherds located in Victor, ID. Our dogs are screened via genetic tests and OFA screenings. Health certificates and guarantees are provided with each pup. Our adults are low to medium energy dogs, not working lines. We aim to provide family dogs that keep their families exercising but snuggle and love like lap dogs.

Why did you start breeding?
I wanted to put my passion for Aussies to good use. Breeding healthy, happy puppies is our way to give back to the breed and the families who love them. I'm sure I am a little biased, but Aussies are not "just a pet," they are our best friends. They love whole-heartedly and without judgement. Due to their never-ending affection, it seemed only natural to bring that joy to others.What makes your program special?
I believe our home environment and the ability for my kids to assist in the raising of puppies gives our puppies a special aspect of socializing that they do not get from other homes. They are constantly handled, played with, and snuggled ensuring a positive relationship with people from the very beginning. The love they receive helps the bond that gives them the confidence to grow and succeed in their lives.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Serena
Serena has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“This price includes removal of dew claws, docked tails, deworming and first round of vaccines provided per protocol. A health certificate from my vet, along with a genetic guarantee for a year. A deposit secures the hold of the puppy of your choice. The rest of the purchase price is due at transfer of puppy ownership.”
Contract & health guarantee
Serena may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
