I'm Shayla M., the breeder behind POMRITA POM’S located in North Port, FL. We are lifelong dog enthusiasts, and we’re excited to share our passion and purpose to better the breed with others through our breeding program. All my Show dogs are imported from Thailand and have all DNA and Health testing completed.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    With over 20 years of experience in the animal care industry, I have embraced various roles including groomer, breeder, veterinary assistant, and dog psychologist and AKC Owner Handler. This extensive journey has empowered me to read a dog’s energy and understand its unique traits and personality, nurturing a deeper connection between humans and their beloved companions.

  • What makes your program special?

    I take great pride in nurturing and providing the best quality puppies possible. As a full-time dog groomer, my passion for dogs extends beyond just breeding—it's truly my way of life. For over 25 years, I have dedicated myself to this journey, and every moment has been incredibly rewarding. My puppies grow up in a loving home environment, surrounded by other dogs, Kids and other animals ensuring they are well-socialized and friendly. I believe that every puppy deserves the utmost care and attention.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include cream sable parti, cream parti, black and tan parti, cream, white, orange sable, wolf sable, black and tan, tri-colored, and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Shayla

Shayla has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Shayla partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“We carefully match each puppy with the perfect family. Puppies are typically evaluated at around 7 to 8 weeks old, once we have a good sense of their temperaments and personalities, ensuring they are placed in homes where they will thrive.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $1,000 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $6,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“First round of shots and deworming, dew claws removed, a FL Health Certificate, AKC registration, microchipped, registration form for microchip, food to get adjusted, informative folder for puppy owners, and much more. All of our puppy deposits are the same regardless of the breed size or color included first round of shots and microchiped.”

Contract & health guarantee

Shayla may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
