Why did you start breeding?
After owning two Labrador Retrievers who struggled with various medical issues, we chose to take a different path and bring an English Springer Spaniel into our family. As our kids have grown, their interest in hunting—and in having a loyal companion by their side—has only increased. With our dog numbers dwindling, we decided to begin breeding our own.What makes your program special?
My nursing background has given me a deep appreciation for genetics, DNA, and the traits that influence health and temperament. When I learned that many of the medical issues our Labradors struggled with might have been preventable, I couldn’t help but wish we’d done more research. Now, as a breeder, I’m passionate about doing things the right way—prioritizing health, honesty, and the well-being of every puppy. Our dogs live with us as family, right in the middle of our home and our hearts.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include liver white and tan and black white and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Tara has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Tara partners with them to find the best puppy match.

"The price includes AKC registration, first round of vaccinations, vet check, deworming, puppy socialization. All of our puppies are the same price regardless of color/sex."

About Bonnie
Black tipped sable, most affectionate springer we have ever had by far, loves cuddles and is birdy in the fields. She will have her final litter (#4) March, 2025 where we will be keeping a pup of our own to keep her affectionate/loving traits in our bloodlines. She always has the most beautiful pups and versatile to being house pets or hunting buddies. She is the reason we started Poskin Lake Springer Spaniels. You cannot find a better furry companion 🤎

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
DNA Disease Panel, PRA, Cone-Rod Dystrophy 4 (PRA-crd4)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
