Our mission is to raise healthy, happy, adorable Border Collie puppies and connect loving families with their new best friends! We are dedicated to always providing our buyers and our puppies with a positive experience, which includes remaining committed to responsible practices.

Why did you start breeding?
As lifelong dog owners and enthusiasts, we knew we wanted raising and breeding dogs to be a central part of our efforts on the farm. As border collies are the smartest breed (unquestionably!), we welcomed Jolene into our home in early 2019. At Poteet Pups, we believe the adoption experience is the foundation for a positive and healthy relationship between pet and parent.What makes your program special?
Our pups are raised following Puppy Culture for the best early start to socialization. We follow AKC best practices in breeding and guarantee the health of our puppies. Because we feel responsible for every pup born on our farm, we offer an unconditional, lifelong surrender policy back to our farm.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
Getting a puppy from Rachel
Rachel has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and between $650 - $950 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Each puppy comes with their initial vet visit, microchipping, their first vaccinations, and a puppy welcome kit which includes food, treats, toys and information about your new puppy. Approved homes will receive a link to make a deposit on a puppy, and links will be sent out in the order approved applications were received. Please make this deposit within 24 hours.”
Contract & health guarantee
Rachel may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
