I'm Alexia R., the breeder behind Potrero Lowchen located in Grass Valley, CA. I started “in dogs” when I was 12 years old with my Mom who bred and showed Japanese Chins. I found the Lowchen breed in 2011 and purchased my first Lowchen in 2012 from Tapestry Kennel in Canada. The Lowchen is my heart breed and I’m devoted to continuing them and introducing new people them.
Q. & A. with Alexia
What makes your program special?
Temperament is my number one priority, followed by health and breed type. I am a professional dog trainer full time so I take the puppies out and work with them to build a resilience to stress. ALL Companion pups stay with me til 16 weeks to ensure they are crate trained and potty trained as well as safely socialized and fully vaccinated against parvo.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include silver, gold sable, fawn, black brindle, black and silver, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
