Meet the breeder

I'm Hannah L., the breeder behind Prairie Creek located in Eldorado, KS. We have spent over a decade raising healthy and happy puppies! We are dedicated to building the breed by ensuring positive breed standards are passed down and each parent dog improved upon with every of our litters. Every dog has it's fault, but each should be loved unconditionally just the same!

Q. & A. with Hannah

  • Why did you start breeding?

I grew up watching the old black and white "Lassie" movies, and months after research of so many other breeds that may have suited my lifestyle at the time, I was drawn straight to our first rough coat sable collie, named Dixie. The rest is history! Then shortly after marrying my husband, and both of us loving rotties, we got our first. Both such incredible family breeds in their own ways!
  • What makes your program special?

We do not cut corners, we spare no expense that might give our pups the best chance at finding the perfect homes. Each puppy is evaluated and reevaluated to ensure their personalities truly fit the family they will forever spend their lives with. We health test, among other testing, and strive to improve genetic results, as well as the physical standard of each breed. We are here for our puppies!
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our Collie puppies include smooth and rough coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Collie puppies include sable, sable merle, black white and tan, blue merle, and white. Rottweiler puppies include black and tan and black and mahogany. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
