I'm Amanda (Mandy) P., the breeder behind Prairie Hills Labs located in Broadview, MT. We breed top-quality Labrador Retrievers who enjoy working, but also love their families. We have done all genetic panels through PawPrint. We have done OFA elbows and hips. Our dogs live in our house and they hunt upland and waterfowl with us. They are wonderful hunters, and family companions!
Q. & A. with Amanda (Mandy)
Why did you start breeding?
I decided to get into breeding when we purchased our second Lab. Our first girl is a great little Lab -- she has a wonderful temperament for being a field-style dog, because she is driven in the field and calm in the house. A year later, we decided to look into breeding and we purchased our male. He is big, blocky, and a picture-perfect English-style lab. We wanted to bring the best of them both.
What makes your program special?
We breed with all health clearances passed along with temperament, beauty, and hunting capabilities. We will be working towards running our hunt tests next summer. We are very dedicated to what we do and what we aim to achieve as breeders. We work with passion, heart, and integrity, and we want nothing more than to see each and every one of our puppies shine!
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
