I'm Kimberlee H., the breeder behind PrairieHill Dachshunds located in Chehalis, WA. We’re so excited to be able to help families experience the longtime loyalty of welcoming a new puppy into their lives! I am a home-based breeder dedicated to bringing healthy, loving, and high-quality puppies into the homes and hearts of their forever families. I love my dogs and I am passionate about raising my puppies to be the best family companions. Breeding for temperament.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I originally was a breeder of Pomeranians and Poodles. I got a Dachshund as a gift from my sister, and I loved the quirky, funny personalities of the dachshunds so much, I chose to breed miniature dachshunds exclusively.

  • What makes your program special?

    My program focuses on healthy puppies and temperament. My goal is to produce the best quality puppy for someone special to love.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, cream, red, chocolate and tan, chocolate and cream, black and cream, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and between $1,250 - $1,750 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price includes one year health guarantee covering any major defect. Age-appropriate immunizations and wormings. Raised in my home, raised with other dogs, raised with cats. Handled daily, socialized with different humans. Beginning litter box training. Sound desensitization started, vacuum, cars, lawn mower, household appliances. Prices may vary upon AKC limited or Full registration right. Non- refundable deposit, it can be transferred to another litter if necessary.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
