I'm Pamela T., the breeder behind Prairiesky Kennels located in Pr AI Rie City, IA. Health testing is central to my program. I breed for a clear purpose and strive to place puppies in the most compatible homes. We are preservation breeders of Labrador Retrievers. We do health testing on all our dogs and have them evaluated in AKC shows!
Q. & A. with Pamela
Why did you start breeding?
I have always loved dogs especially Labradors and have always wanted to work with dogs. As I was getting older I decided that if I was going to do this I better get started. I feel there is a big need for quality breeders to maintain and improve AKC dog breeds for future generations.
What makes your program special?
All my breeding dogs compete in AKC conformation shows and have all their health clearances prior to being bred. We are very careful to only breed quality dogs to quality dogs. I screen all my puppy homes to find the best homes for them. All pet homes have spay and neuter in their contracts and I will take back any dog for any reason for the life of the dog.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
