I'm Julie L., the breeder behind Precious Jewels Biewer Terriers located in Rocklin, CA. Our sweet angels are raised in home. We breed to improve breed conformation and to share the joy and love that these amazing dogs bring to our lives with others. We enjoy the comradery and friendship of other Biewer Fanciers and can often be found competing at local conformation events.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Growing up on a small farm, raising animals was a way of life. I have never lived without at least one or two fur babies, if not more. I always dreamed that I would show and breed dogs once I retired. It was a priority that I would be breeding in a responsible way and by choosing a rare breed I am confident that each puppy I produce goes towards improving bloodlines and moving this breed forward.

  • What makes your program special?

    We believe in responsible breeding practices that prioritizes the health, happiness and well-being of our precious gems. Our pups are raised in-home as part of the family. Our parent dogs undergo testing such as DNA, CAER Eye, and more to achieve CHIC certification which ensures our puppies will have their best chance of a long healthy lifetime. We are committed to producing happy healthy puppies.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are black tan and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Julie

Puppy prices include a $800 deposit and between $1,700 - $5,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

    We wanted a small dog that would be easier when traveling. We were looking for a dedicated and kind breeder. Luckily we found Julie at Precious Jewels Biewer Terriers on GoodDog!! We were new to Biewer Terriers. She was so knowledgeable about the breed and helpful in the search for ‘our’ puppy! We texted and spoke on the phone. Julie was always available to answer any questions we had and sent great pictures of her puppies as we made our forever decision! We chose ‘Tiny Boy’(now Archie) who has a face like a Yorkie but a back of black and white. He is unimaginably adorable and a knockout crowd pleaser because people can’t get over seeing such a tiny dog who is literally a handful. Do not hesitate to contact Julie!
