I'm April, the breeder behind Precious Shihpoo’s and Luxurious Shih Tzu’s located in Albany, NY. Our Shih Tzu pups are home-raised. We put a lot of care into socializing them so they can transition easily into their new lives. We are dog lovers through and through! Our pups are such an important part of our lives, and we can’t imagine being without them. It’s an amazing experience as breeders to provide others with puppies that we know will bring them the same joy!

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Shih Tzu puppies include black, liver, blue, blue and white, liver and white, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from April

April has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, April partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“$1800 for a Shih-poo. $2500 for an Shih Tzu. Our Shih Tzu’s are AKC registered but we will also have litters that are pet only. All puppies come with first set of shots, up to date deworming, vet checked, one year health guarantee, potty pad trained and a puppy pack. Deposits are in place to put a puppy on hold. They are non refundable and the amount is taken off the puppy price.”

    I can’t say enough wonderful things about our experience with April! From the day we brought Sonny home, it was obvious how much love, time, and care had gone into raising and socializing him. Sonny came to us incredibly well-socialized and confident. He absolutely loves people, gets so excited to meet other dogs, and has the sweetest, happiest personality. He is also SO smart! He caught on to potty training very quickly and has done wonderfully with basic obedience and learning new things. He is just such a good boy — loving, affectionate, playful, and an absolute joy to have in our life. You can tell that April truly cares about her puppies and gives them such a great start before they go to their forever homes. We couldn’t be happier with Sunny and are so grateful to April for raising such a wonderful, well-adjusted little guy.     From the very beginning, I had a great experience with April. She was even accommodating to doing a FaceTime video so I could see the puppy and we could talk which I really appreciated. She kept me posted throughout the time I had to wait to bring her home and guide me through the process. When I met her at home, she was gracious and the puppies were always n excellent condition.     I’ve had Cooper for a week. He has adjusted very well the very first night he slept all night. after a week, he is 98% trained to go on the pad. He loves to play with my other dog that is a year and a half old. I do have lots of toys for them. They seem to play all the time.
