I'm Jenny J., the breeder behind Precious Tzu Crew located in Spring, TX. All my dogs are spoiled rotten. They have enough toys to last a decade, & have their own playground. Having been introduced to Shih Tzus in 1990, I am dedicated to the breed. I breed for standard size (per AKC 9-16 pounds); rarely do we get one charting 7 or 8 pounds. Most are 10-12 pounds.

Jenny has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Jenny partners with them to find the best puppy match.
“Shih Tzus are a very special breed. Not everyone is cut out for a Shih Tzu. They are a Velcro dog. It will be like living with a toddler for the next 15-18 years, and requires a lot of patience. So it's important to me to make sure potential clients are ready for one, and are aware of the demands. ”

“Pet only families. Prices vary according to gender, pigment, markings, & size. Spay/neuter agreement is required. Most puppies chart 10-12 pounds. The AKC standard is 9-16 pounds for Shih Tzus. A non-refundable deposit goes toward your balance, & shows your commitment to purchasing a puppy from me. When a puppy has a deposit on it, that keeps someone else from purchasing the same puppy.”
Jenny may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Jenny offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Jenny directly.
When you pay and communicate on Good Dog, you’re covered by Payment Protection.

About Leia
Leia carries one copy of the gene for DM (doggy version of Lou Gehrig's disease). It is a recessive gene, so nothing to worry about if she passes this gene to an offspring. Having one copy of this gene has no impact on the dog's health. These genes pass 50% of the time. Leia weighs 10 pounds and came from Ukraine. She is mom to Abby. We plan to rehome Leia by the end of 2026. She is still young; her birthday is 9/12/21. Her rehoming fee will be $1200, and she will be spayed before she leaves my home. All retired adults who get rehomed are spayed/neutered prior to leaving, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, housebroken, crate trained, and get a teeth cleaning during their spay/neuter.

About Saffy
Super sweet. Mom to Gidget. Saffy is what we call a “lemon dobie”. On the outside she is solid white (keeping the face clean can be a problem. Genetically, Saffy carries two copies of the gene responsible for white, and 2 copies of the gene for dobie marked (black and tan). It is highly unlikely I will get to solid white before ending my breeding program; I would have to purchase a male who at least carries for dobie and the white gene. These are recessive genes so the parents need to at least carry for both and then hopefully they get passed down. I’ll get a better photo soon.

About Abby
Abby is a very sweet solid black. Her mother has only one recessive gene that does not impact her health, and her father is 100% clear. Chances are Abby is 100% clear. Even if she inherited her mom's recessive gene, it will not impact her health, nor that of her offspring should they inherit the same gene. I will not be conducting anymore health testing on dogs whose history I know just to get a badge on GD. Health testing kits are very expensive.

I had a great experience with Jenny. She made the process smooth and easy. I’ve had our new puppy for a little over 2 weeks with no problems. Jenny is a responsible and knowledgeable breeder that also makes sure her puppies match up well with the new owners.

Jenny was so great with keeping us up to date on daily happenings! We didn’t have long between finding Rooster to picking him up. They were so helpful in meeting us at the Texas Louisiana state line. It made it possible to get back home to Pensacola without having to stop overnight somewhere.

Jenny was absolutely wonderful to work with from beginning to end! She was very knowledgeable about Shih Tzus in general, and very caring and loving over all of her pups. We brought our little Walker home a week ago, and he is just the sweetest, happiest little pup! His vet appointment went very smoothly - he’s very healthy, has great energy, and a wonderful disposition. Jenny kept me updated with videos, photos and updates before we got him. Thank you for everything!

If you are looking for a trustworthy breeder, I cannot recommend Jenny enough! We recently adopted our puppy, Teddy, from her and the process couldn't have been better. Jenny was transparent, communicative, and gave us all the information we needed to feel confident. The hand-off was safe and professional. Teddy is doing great and just cleared his final round of puppy shots with flying colors. Thank you, Jenny, for such a positive experience!
