I'm Lynnea C., the breeder behind Prestige Shih Tzu Family located in Christmas Valley, OR. We offer healthy well adjusted companions for retired adults and families. Shih Tzu are our passion, and we can't imagine life without them. We are dedicated to achieving breeding excellence and healthy family pets, and we are always working to further our education so that we can continue to improve our breeding program.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    After i got my first shih tzu, i was smitten with the breed. "Everyone needs a shih tzu in their life" was my thought. They are just unlike any other dog i have come across. The perfect companion... perfect size... just the perfect little dog!
  • What makes your program special?

    my breeding program is special, in that i don't inbreed or line breed, or whatever way you want to make incest okay in dog breeding. it is not okay.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include sable and white, sable, black, red, red and white, and black gold and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Lynnea

Lynnea has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Price

Puppy prices include between $1,800 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes spay/neuter contract, Bill of Sale, vaccines, deworming, and dew claw removal by vet; veterinary health check and socialization. Also beginning potty training. Puppy starter kits include potty pads, toy(s), baby binky, AKC folder with information an lineage. AKC papers upon proof of spay/neuter.”

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Canine Good Citizen (CGC)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
