  • Why did you start breeding?

    My journey into breeding started in 2022 with Rottweilers, a breed I truly enjoyed for their loyalty, intelligence, and protective nature. Through that experience, I developed a deeper passion for responsible breeding, proper care, and raising well socialized puppies. Over time, I fell in love with the Shih Tzu breed because of their affectionate personalities, wonderful temperament.

  • What makes your program special?

    At Pretty Paws & Pearls Shih Tzus, our puppies are raised inside our home and treated like family from day one. We focus on health, temperament, socialization, and producing confident, loving companions with beautiful coats and personalities. We believe every puppy deserves the best start possible and work hard to create a positive experience for both our puppies and their future families.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red and tan, black, and liver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Amber

Amber has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Amber partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Pricing includes age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, health records, AKC registration, early socialization, and starter puppy information. Puppies are raised in our home with love and care. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your puppy and will be applied toward the final purchase price. Puppies are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.”

Amber may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
