Meet the breeder

I'm Rebecca M., the breeder behind Prickly pear poms located in Phoenix, AZ. Prickly Pear Poms of Arizona is a small, carefully planned breeding program focused on quality over quantity. We are passionate about raising healthy, happy Pomeranians with loving temperaments and strive to provide families with the special companionship that made us fall in love with the breed.

Q. & A. with Rebecca

  • Why did you start breeding?

My love for Pomeranians started with my male, Sebastian. He changed my family’s life and is the reason I fell in love with the breed. Pomeranians are incredibly loving and devoted to their people—true “Velcro dogs.” It’s a type of companionship you never knew you needed until you experience it, and that love eventually grew into my passion for breeding.
  • What makes your program special?

Our Poms are family first and truly a huge part of our everyday lives. We love taking them on outings and adventures, giving them new experiences, and making sure they live the fun, happy & exciting lives they deserve! Our small breeding program is built around our love for the breed, with a focus on quality over quantity and lots of love, care, and attention given to every Pom and puppy we raise.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include cream sable parti, cream parti, black and tan parti, cream, blue merle, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
