Meet the breeder

I'm Layla W., the breeder behind Priderock Golden Retrievers located in Redkey, IN. Priderock Goldens was formed in loving memory of our beloved Golden Retriever Simba. Through Simba we learned first hand that the Golden Retriever breed is extremely intelligent, loyal, kind, and have such sweet souls. Every decision we make we do to honor Simba, and we are on a mission to do our part to better the breed with each litter.

Q. & A. with Layla

  • Why did you start breeding?

When my husband, and I got married we got our first Golden Retriever, Simba. He was 9 weeks old at that time, and truly changed our lives forever. He was our baby for years before we had children. This is where our love for this breed really began.
  • What makes your program special?

All dogs, and puppies raised here are loved, and cared for by my husband, and I, and our 2 young children. Our Golden Retrievers truly are our entire world. We couldn't imagine our lives without them.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
