Meet the breeder

I'm Pam P., the breeder behind PT Havanese located in Warren, OH. I am a small in-home breeder that breeds healthy, well-socialized AKC Havanese from health tested parents. Our dogs live in our home and are loyal members of our family.

Q. & A. with Pam

  • Why did you start breeding?

I've loved dogs my entire life and over the years thought about breeding in my retirement. My marketing job for a large corporation moved out of town so I took the opportunity to retire early and start my breeding program.
  • What makes your program special?

All my breeding stock are first and foremost our house pets. Pups are born in house and training begins at day one. I work on socialization, desensitizing to noises and acclimating puppies to a variety of people, animals, and situations. While socialization is important, health is our number one priority.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and white, chocolate, silver, black, chocolate sable, black and tan, black brindle, gold sable, and fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

My whole experience working with Pam Perkins was wonderful. She always got right back to me whenever I emailed her with any questions I had. While waiting for my puppy, she sent me pictures and videos weekly, so I could I watch her growing progress. When I went to pick up my puppy, I took along a friend of mine who was interested in having a litter of her own. Pam was a wealth of information and answered all her questions . I would not hesitate to adopt one her puppies. You could by the home environment she was raising her puppies in that it was a house full of love for her dogs.

Pam was very pleasant and easy to work with. She answered all my questions in a timely manner. Her husband also was able to meet us, which was very helpful. Our pup was sent home with a very helpful packet of informations, a small blanket and toy, and dog food. It was so great working with PT Havanese, and when we want another pup, we will use them again in the future. Highly recommend!!

Pam was quick to respond and very knowledgeable. We allowed her to pick a puppy for us, all we asked for was "girl" and she could not have done any better. She asked a few questions about our household and matched us up perfectly.
