Meet the breeder

I'm Rhonda S., the breeder behind Puppy Love Doodles located in Larimer County, CO. I love puppies! It's so great to see the positive effect that a beloved, furry companion can have on its family. My main priority when breeding is the temperament of my dogs and puppies. I want my puppies to be wonderful family companions and bring lots of love and joy into their forever homes. Our puppies are all raised in our homes with lots of early love and socialization I offer a two-year, genetic health guarantee.

Q. & A. with Rhonda

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have always been passionate about the well-being of animals. I wanted to put my passion to good use! It's been a joyful commitment, and it is a pleasure to live with, work with, and share with others these wonderful dogs. I used to breed and show standard collies. During this time I realized that what is most important is breeding healthy, happy dogs. I adopted my three boys and they had stuff. Their dogs help them deal with their "stuff" better than anything I have found. The dogs get the boys out of their heads and into nature and of course the dogs love the exercise. I have a bunch of friends who are older parents raising grandkids or foster/adopt kiddos and I love to share my dogs with them so their kiddos can experience the joy my dogs bring to our family.
  • What makes your program special?

I treasure each puppy in my program and give them all the attention and care that I possibly can. I work hard so my puppies can leave my home with confidence, ready to take on the world with their new family! We take special care and attention to breed well adjusted and well socialized puppies. I do.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Bernedoodle puppies include mini, medium, and standard sizes. Cockapoo puppies are mini size. Goldendoodle puppies include miniature, medium, and standard sizes. Aussiedoodle puppies are mini size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Bernedoodle puppies include brown, sable, black, black and white, tri-color, and phantom. Cockapoo puppies include red, red and white, buff and white, brown, and black and white. Goldendoodle puppies include cream, apricot, red, chocolate, black, and phantom. Aussiedoodle puppies include blue merle, red merle, black and white, black tri-color, red phantom, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

I highly recommend Rhonda as a breeder. She is super responsive, and seeks to understand and find the best match for her customer. She is honest and easy to talk with, and wants what is the very best for her pups and her customers. Our little Bernedoodle, Cricket, is my heart and soul already, and she has only been with us 2 weeks! She is super smart, cuddly, goofy, spunky, and at times, ornery. I wouldn’t have it any other way. This is our first bernedoodle ( we have had Shelties for years), and it definitely won’t be our last. I already want another one! Thank you, Rhonda. Cricket is absolutely adorable 🥰 in every way.

We are so blessed to find Rhonda! Our experience was wonderful & the entire process went very smooth!! Rhonda was a joy to speak to. She offered lots of advice to us given this was a new breed we didn't know much about. Our puppy Izzy is 10 wks old now an we just love her to death. She is so loving an such a happy puppy! Not to mention quite smart! Her potty training skills are pretty much down packed. I did reach out to Rhonda with a few questions when we got our puppy joke.
