I'm Mary Ellen B., the breeder behind puppy located in North Carolina. We are a small family breeding home. Our dogs live in our home. Our focus is on raising, training, and breeding AKC Mini American Shepherds with great temperaments and structure that will be successful in any environment. Our goal is to produce balanced dogs that will be able to thrive wherever they are needed.

Why did you start breeding?
I got my first Miniature American as a pet. I then decided to work with a mentor, Jen Shumway with Capital Minis, and began to build a quality foundation breeding program.What makes your program special?
We are small and focused on quality and temperament. We can focus on each individual puppy in every litter.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
Getting a puppy from Mary Ellen
Mary Ellen has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
“Prices are based on many things, including conformation, coat, gender, and drive. To reserve a puppy, we require a non-refundable deposit of $500.00. Deposits are a good-faith agreement that you plan to purchase a dog from me. I accept deposits only once the litter is born from families on my waitlist, in order of application and match to the family. The deposit is applied to the total purchase price. I take deposits on the litter, not specific pups. It is important to me that I match each pup's temperament, personality, and drive to each family, and that requires further evaluation as the pups' grow. This can happen immediately or it can take up to 8 weeks depending on the family needs and the pup. In order to be placed on my waitlist for an upcoming litter, I must review and approve your application. Applications with specific coat and gender requests may not get a pup this litter as the dog mom does not take orders :) The more flexible in coat and gender, the more likely you will get the pup of your dreams from the upcoming litter.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
