I'm Heidi O., the breeder behind Purpose Bred Poodles located in Jay, FL. We are service dog trainers who occasionally breeds Poodles to get service dog candidates. We are also able to get excellent pets this way. We think all owners should have companionable dogs, but don't always know how to get there. Our goal is to keep dogs in loving homes.
Q. & A. with Heidi
Why did you start breeding?
After scouring rescues and shelters and evaluating hundreds of dogs, it was extremely difficult for me to find service dog candidates that could work with any family. Everything was either Pitbull or Chihuahua and definitely nothing was "hypoallergenic". Everything I found had either a horrible temperament or horrible health. I decided to breed my own Poodles to try and help people get a service dog.
What makes your program special?
We breed with an eye for service work. Henceforth, we are the only responsible breeder in the Pensacola FL area that health tests, raises with Puppy Culture, does ENS, does early training and socialization, temperament tests sell based on temperament/personality/drive, who has a contract, and who will appropriately place puppies according to your lifestyle.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, blue, brown, cafe au lait, silver, silver-beige, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
