I'm Chandra F., the breeder behind Qualteri Collies located in Cheyenne, WY. Located on 5 acres, Qualteri Collies has been showing and breeding rough and smooth Collies for 27 years. Raised with the Puppy Culture program, all puppies are placed in carefully screened homes. As an AKC Breeder of Merit Bronze Level, we focus on giving every puppy the best start possible. We invest heavily in the amount of time each new puppy gets and strive to produce confident, outgoing, problem solving puppies.
Q. & A. with Chandra
Why did you start breeding?
I have been passionate about Collies since I was little. I became involved in the performance events as an adult with my first Collie and that led me down the path to conformation. It is a world I dearly love and have never looked back! I also love doing what I can to better the Collie breed.
What makes your program special?
Our program puts an emphasis on health, temperament, and breed type. I am an active member/volunteer of the Collie Health Foundation and that helps me stay up to date on the newest health research in the breed.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include smooth and rough coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable and white, blue merle and white, black white and tan, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
