I'm Kylea C., the breeder behind Queen City Farm located in Falmouth, KY. Queen City Farm in Kentucky specializes in ethically breeding AKC/UKC registered Australian Shepherds. Founded by Kylea Curry, we focus on health-tested, well-socialized puppies through rigorous genetic testing and early development programs to ensure top-quality, family-ready companions.

Why did you start breeding?
Kylea's journey into dog breeding began after years in veterinary medicine and dog training. Passionate about animal care and genetics, she and her husband decided to apply their deep knowledge and love for dogs by starting Queen City Farm. Here, they focus on ethical breeding practices and health-tested Australian Shepherds, aiming to provide families with joyful, healthy companions.
What makes your program special?
Queen City Farm stands out by combining ethical breeding with a deep commitment to health and temperament. Our Australian Shepherds are AKC/UKC registered, health-tested, and nurtured through early stimulation and scent introduction, ensuring they grow into adaptable and joyful companions. At Queen City, we don’t just breed dogs; we raise family members.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Kylea

Kylea has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Kylea partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.

“We ensure that we understand the buyers wants and goals for their new family member. This means we will temperament evaluate and structure evaluate at around 7 weeks old. Once all puppies have been evaluated, I am able to better match families to their puppy with this information in mind. While still taking color and gender preference into consideration. ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes AKC limited registration, the first set of vaccines, deworming, microchips, a health guarantee, and a lifetime of support.”

Contract & health guarantee

Kylea may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Litter update on 03 July •
🌸 The May Flowers are 6 weeks old this week! 🌸 This age is such a fun one. Their little personalities are really starting to come through, and they are getting more confident, playful, and curious every single day. They are fully in the “run, wrestle, explore, eat, nap, and do it all over again” stage. This week, we’re continuing to introduce new surfaces, sounds, toys, handling, and little confidence-building challenges. They are learning that the world is full of fun things to explore, and it has been so sweet watching them grow braver with each new experience. We’re also building on those early Puppy Culture foundations, including polite communication, problem solving, confidence with new things, and learning that people are safe, fun, and rewarding. These small moments now help shape the stable, thoughtful companions they’ll become. We are so proud of this litter and can hardly believe they are already 6 weeks old. About Lyra
Lyra is a fun, happy-go-lucky, female. She gives everything into a task at hand and will try every way to get the job done. She shows affection with her whole body, and will smother you with kisses and hugs. She is a hard worker, and easily trained. I would call her a ‘mild’ dog when it comes to corrections, being that she takes a correction in stride, but too hard of a correction and she may take a second to rethink her next move. She has a high sense of self-preservation. She has a high food motivation, and a very high toy motivation. Her favorite game is working for her tug toy, but she is more than happy to train/work for treats. She loves meeting new people, and would trade me for the person holding her toy. She is very easy to live with, and requires little to keep her happy. She loves to swim, hike, do the farm chores with me, and simply just hang out. Overall lyra is medium energy, high toy drive, high food drive, with a great off switch.

About Aubrey
When not working as Kylea's service dog, he is working hard training in Scent work, Fast Cat, Dock Diving, and also herding the many animals around our farm. He passed all health testing with flying colors at 2 years of age. He also has his CGCU, CGCA, FCAT, TKA, and VAHMA titles. Anyone who knows Aubrey knows how kind, sweet, and driven he is. He is willing to try anythinng I ask of him, and does it with a smile on his face. He also is a therapy dog for a local childrens camp.

Her devotion is unmatched—she genuinely wants to please and thrives on connection. She’s not just a sweetheart; she’s a proven showstopper. Her striking blue eyes are set against rich copper points and an inky black coat, with minimal white that enhances her classic look. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
