I'm Emily M., the breeder behind Queen City Sausage Dogs located in Springfield, MO. Queen City Sausage Dogs is a small, mother–daughter dachshund breeding program focused on health, temperament, and ethical care. Our dogs are raised in our home as family, with early socialization and lots of love, so each puppy grows into a confident, affectionate companion.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We got into breeding because of our love of all things dachshund and our realization how much joy these pups can bring to others. After seeing the benefits of owning these special sausage dogs we wanted to share the love. Our pets have provided love and comfort to family members during illness, loss, and the best of times and we believe these unique little dogs are truly miracle workers.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our program is special because our dogs are family. We aren’t a large program and we do not aspire to be. All pups raised in our home and treated like our own. They are socialized around children, elderly, and special needs individuals and go through ENS training to ensure they are a good fit for different environments.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include cream, red, chocolate, and black and cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Emily

Emily has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Emily partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $900 - $2,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.
