Racing Hearts Pomeranians

Amanda S.

Breeder of Pomeranians

Meet the breeder

I'm Amanda S., the breeder behind Racing Hearts Pomeranians located in Yorktown, VA. I began breeding, working with a seasoned mentor to bring you loving, healthy, well-socialized, beautiful furry family members. I fell in love with this breed when my boyfriend introduced me to them. He and I are married now and excited to bring others the joy we have found in breeding these incredible dogs.

Q. & A. with Amanda

  • Why did you start breeding?

The more I researched breeders in my search for the right Pom for us, I realized that this could be a great hobby for me now that I have an empty nest. I'm drawn to the science behind coat colors and have been learning all I can! I have an awesome mentor who is also a canine nutritionist, so I've learned a ton about what to feed and what not to feed my pups and dogs. It's an amazing feeling knowing that I made a positive contribution to these dogs and the families who love them!
  • What makes your program special?

My program is special because I love my dogs with all my heart. They are part of my family, and they are treated as such. My dogs eat better than we do most of the time, LOL. We have a wonderful vet with similar beliefs about less-is-more vaccinations, so my babies are well taken care of! She is also ready to help me learn all I can about breeding. I'm so excited to have the pleasure to connect you with your next Pom puppy!
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
