I'm Sabra P., the breeder behind Raintree Manchester Terriers located in Lyman, VA. It is our goal to produce healthy, show-quality puppies with wonderful temperaments. With this in mind, we consider a variety of factors when making breeding decisions, and we only breed dogs that are exemplary representations of the standard. We provide each of our dogs and puppies with the best care, and we ensure each pup that we don’t keep goes to a responsible, loving home.

Why did you start breeding?
I am the third generation in my family to breed and show dogs. I have been breeding Manchesters and showing Manchesters for about 10 years.What makes your program special?
All puppies are born and raised in my house using puppy culture.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Legg-Calve-Perthes (OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
