Meet the breeder

I'm Celina F., the breeder behind Raising Doodles located in Newark, OH. We love this breed and the experience of having litters! Our mission is to raise pups that are set to become the best companions. While our goal is to share loving puppies with families, we are still a selective program. We only breed when we’re sure we can produce the healthiest and best example of the breed possible.

Q. & A. with Celina

  • Why did you start breeding?

In 2016, my sweet girl Daisy passed after 14 years. A few months before she passed, we decided to look for a puppy, a Chocolate Labrador. I had been wanting another Labrador for years and knew having a puppy around would help cope with the loss of Daisy. After weeks of looking for a puppy in our price range, we finally found one available and went for a visit. We were greeted with the two most adorable little chocolate labradors. My heart fell in love instantly. We asked to see the mom of the puppies and while waiting for them to bring her out, we quickly realized the conditions in which these puppies were raised. We saw cages upon cages of dogs. Every breed you can think of. My heart shattered seeing all of the dogs and puppies outside in small, dirty cages. After seeing the horrible condition of the mother, we decided to continue on with our search of finding our Chocolate Labrador and not supporting such a horrible breeding practice. Our budget quickly increased as we saw everything that went into breeding a high quality puppy from a high quality breeder. We soon found our Chocolate Labrador, Ellie, from a great breeder. She brought me so much joy and comfort while going through the loss of Daisy. After struggling to find a good quality breeder, my desire grew to give other families the option of having a healthy puppy who knows nothing but love from the moment they are born. I became determined to be and produce just what I was looking when searching for Ellie.
  • What makes your program special?

All our puppies are raised in our home on a proven curriculum. This is something we take great pride in. Raising a puppy in our home is what makes our puppies worth the wait. My goal is to send our puppies home being exposed to a house, family, kids, dogs, car rides, vacuum sounds, different floor textures, sounds and music from the television, hearing us cook, talk, and live our everyday life just as any other home would encounter. We have a goal to raise "family dogs" and we are doing just that.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include merle, apricot, cream, and chocolate. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
