Meet the breeder

I'm Nicole C., the breeder behind Raising Star Ranch Toy and Mini Aussies located in Williamson County, TX. We strive to raise well tempered and healthy Aussies that meet and exceed the standards of the breed. Our Aussies are genetically health tested and chosen carefully to ensure the best outcome in our puppies temperament, quality and overall health! Our Aussies are our family and very much loved!

Q. & A. with Nicole

  • Why did you start breeding?

I didn't know until I babysat my sisters Aussie, that I would need them in my life!...all of them! They are the best breed. I started out with two Aussies as a hobby. It became more than that after I started taking part in dog shows and really diving in to the specifics of the breed! I was hooked! Its not a job for me (except for the poop-scoopin' part!). Australian Shepherds are my Passion!
  • What makes your program special?

I set my new pup parents up for success by giving important guidance on nutrition, health and habits to ensure a long living, happy and healthy pup! A lot of dogs end up in shelters. I make it a priority verbally and in my agreement that if anything changes their ability to care for their dog, they contact me so that we, together, will rehome the dog or it comes back to me...no questions asked!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include blue merle, black tri, red tri, and red merle. Toy Australian Shepherd puppies include black & white, black tri, blue merle, and red merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Nicole was great. Even though we had our heart set on our little guy, we got to see the other pups too. She has kept up with us to see how Bailey is doing.
