Meet the breeder

I'm Brenda N., the breeder behind Ramblin Ridge Australian Shepherds located in Ruffin, NC. Our selective breeding process blends together a nice combination of working bloodlines and heavier on the conformation bloodlines. Our goal is to produce medium energy dogs that are active and energetic, but are also able to relax and enjoy being with their family as well.

Q. & A. with Brenda

  • Why did you start breeding?

I acquired my first mini Aussie at the age of 21. I have had Aussies most of my adult life. 20 years ago, I was searching for another Aussie and came across a gorgeous black tri male that had impeccable bloodlines. Shortly after, I found 2 beautiful merle females and the rest is history.
  • What makes your program special?

My dogs are loving and social and enjoy meeting new people. I strive to produce happy, healthy, social pups for families to enjoy just as I have for nearly 40 years!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
