Getting my puppy from Ronnie was an incredible experience! It’s evident that he has a deep love for his dogs and a wealth of knowledge about the dachshund breed. His thorough vetting process for potential puppy homes was a reassuring sign, and he was incredibly informative throughout the process. When I picked up my puppy at 9.5 weeks, Ronnie gave me a fantastic take-home bag filled with essential puppy supplies and medical information. This comprehensive package set me and my puppy up for a smooth transition into home life. My puppy was already around 90% house-trained and had learned to use a bell to go to the potty after just one day at home. He also knew basic commands like “sit,” “down,” and “roll over,” making it easy to teach him new tricks. After about a month of living at home, he’s now crate-trained as well. His disposition is simply fantastic. He’s incredibly confident and always up for any activity. He’s recently discovered his love for swimming, which is a fun and exciting hobby for both of us. I believe his confidence stems from the amount of care and socialization he received from Ronnie and his family. Overall, I would highly recommend getting a puppy from Ronnie, and I would definitely consider getting another puppy from him in the future!

Working with Ram’s Kennels could not have been a better experience. I highly recommend working with Ronnie. They were extremely easy to communicate with and provided a plethora of information about the puppies and breed. Our puppy is already potty trained and knows simple commands such as sit and lay down. It is apparent that Ram’s Kennels cares about their dogs and provide care up to the adoption date. We are very happy with our entire experience in working with Ronnie and would recommend Ram’s Kennels to anyone looking for a new puppy.

Deciding to get a puppy from Ronnie was one of the best decisions we made. We were looking for a responsible and knowledgeable breeder with a record of producing healthy and well-adjusted dogs. From the beginning, Ronnie was incredibly generous with his time. We FaceTimed often and he shared his wealth of experience with the dachshund breed, answering our many questions. We got to know the puppies as they grew and he helped us pick a puppy with the temperament we were looking for. Ronnie also provided numerous photos, video, and updates on the puppies’ training. When it came time to pick up the puppy, Ronnie met us at the Houston airport and provided a carrier and a care package. Our puppy did incredibly well on the 4-hour flight home and adjusting to our home. Since coming home puppy has been toileting almost exclusively outside and sleeps very well in his crate at night. In other words, puppy came home at 9.5 weeks very well pre-trained (nearly potty trained and crate trained, and responding to “sit,” “down,” and “over”), having come from a home with exposure to other adult dogs, puppies, human adults and children, the vacuum, and showers. We’re so grateful to have found Ronnie and our clever, and mostly chill, cream dachshund puppy.

I love my little pup! She was so well cared for and socialized. I was able to spend time in the home with my puppy, her litter mates, and the adult dachshunds. These dogs are, obviously, members of the family. Ronnie is a wealth of knowledge about training, competing, and breeding. He provides a very rich environment for his dogs with many activities that transfer to training; such as, bells suspended from the ceiling with toys attached. When the puppies ring the bell, Ronnie and Janie come running to set the expectation that ringing a bell will get a human's attention which families can use in potty training. My puppy's transition to our home was pretty easy. Janie had endured some sleepless nights so that my little girl would be ready to sleep alone away from her brothers. She has been up to some mischief and is a bit of a daredevil, reflecting her intelligence and the confidence provided by Ronnie and Janie. I feel really good about purchasing my pup from RAMS Kennels.
