I'm Cheryl S., the breeder behind Ravendox Dachshunds located in San Antonio, TX. All litters are bred and raised in our home and socialized with the family daily from birth. We start litterbox training around 3wks using timothy grass horse pellets making the transition to outside potty training a bit easier. Temperament testing is done at 7wks of age. We offer a lifetime genetic health guarantee.
Q. & A. with Cheryl
Why did you start breeding?
I wanted a lap dog because our Akitas were a bit big. Our first Dachshund was the first time I had ever seen my autistic son respond to a living creature. I knew then Dachshunds were special and decided to share the joy they brought us. My son also enjoyed the recognition from showing.
What makes your program special?
I believe every pup we breed should be as close to show quality as possible. My puppy parents tell me my love for my dogs and the care I show them and the pups set me apart from many breeders they talk to.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
