I'm Sharon B., the breeder behind RD Ranch located in Campbell, TX. We raise Australian Shepherds. We focus on instinct and performance. Keeping the dogs correct and maintaining purpose is our goal. Our dogs are dual registered with the breeds private registry Australian Shepherd Club of America (ASCA) and American Kennel Club (AKC). They are health tested before any breeding takes place.
Q. & A. with Sharon
Why did you start breeding?
I grew up living on a ranch raising cattle, horses, chickens, pigs, and dogs. As an adult, I still raise cattle, horses, and my favorite breed of dog Australian Shepherds.
What makes your program special?
We focus on the Aussie's purpose and want to keep it alive in our breed. We focus on producing dogs that are highly intelligent, agile, athletic, versatile, and most importantly great companions that thrive in active homes.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Parent dogs
Lou, mom
Australian Shepherd
About Lou
Lou is a real people pleaser- she is easy to train, she loves to work for toys or food. She is very attached to her person and is happy to be your shadow. Her favorite sports are dock diving and herding.
Gypsy, mom
Australian Shepherd
About Gypsy
Gypsy is our unique, spunky girl. She has the sweetest nature but shows the true reservation towards strangers that Aussies are known for. Gypsy has instinct; a good sense of group, she prefers to heel cattle and can be bossy but also has a gentle style when needed. She is a free spirit and a wild one when it comes to her play time. Gypsy absolutely loves water, she takes full advantage of all the ponds and troughs on the Ranch. She has an active temperament and does pass this trait down to her puppies! Gypsy is agile, athletic and has great stamina; she can last all day! Training her can be challenging because she is strong willed and a free thinker but with determination and persistence we found a training method that worked for us as a team and she has obtained her Advanced Trick Dog title. Gypsy is one of those dogs worth putting a little work into. Over all I am very proud of her and happily give her the title of Foundation Bitch.
Gin, mom
Australian Shepherd
About Gin
Gin is our first keeper pup born here on the ranch, her dam is Gypsy and sire is Solas from Skyborne Australian Shepherds. We did this cross to add more working lines into her pedigree. Gin is maturing into the dog I was hoping she would be! She is very athletic and agile, displays lots of natural instinct, and has a fun upbeat personality - she is a pleasure to have around. Gin is loyal to the family but has typical aussie reserve with strangers. She is very handler focused but does have an independent streak - she likes to show off her free thinking skills sometimes. Before Gin's first birthday she earned her first Dock Diving title in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Shortly after she earned her Rally title in Longview, Texas. Gin also has earned her Advanced Trick Dog title from here at home in the Do More with Your Dog Program. Currently, we are training on stock while waiting for ASCA trials to resume in our area and she is doing very well - She has a great sense of group and very high drive, this girl loves to work. I look forward to what this girls future holds for us.

I absolutely adore my new pup! He is so good natured and full of love! A week after I got him i took him to the block party and everyone fell in love. He trotted up to people, let everyone pet him, he'd flop on his back and have hus belly petted. He was just so social! Love my Ozzy!
