I'm Mike and Gay D., the breeder behind Real Darling Pups located in Dallas, TX. Our love for sweet Maltese designer pups began 16 years ago when "Tank" captured our hearts. We know the difference a pup can make in someone's life. We breed to produce happy and healthy puppies that can continue to thrive in their forever homes, bringing love and joy to that family.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We bred Shetland Sheepdogs 25 years ago then fell in love with our first Maltipoo 16 years ago - there is something special about this sweet Maltese designer breed. They seemed to be the "perfect dog"...smart, cuddly, playful, big enough to not be frail yet small enough to be on our laps and in our arms. We felt we could carefully breed healthy happy pups for others to love.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our dogs are members of the family. We invest time in carefully training our puppies with early neurological stimulation, potty training beginning at 3 weeks, desensitization to sounds, challenges in obstacles then on to the puppy party area for daytime adventures. They have excursions out in the house or car, and an endless supply of socialization and love.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Companion Cross puppies are small size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Mal-Shi puppies include white and tan and black and white. Morkie puppies are black & tan tri-color. Maltipoo puppies include apricot, black, red, and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Mike and Gay

Mike and Gay has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $1,200 - $1,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Our pups are current on vaccinations from our vet and come with a health guarantee, food, toys, a blanket that mom slept on, potty pad trained and crate trained, well socialized and full of soft snuggles. The non refundable deposit will hold your pup until time of pick up.”

Contract & health guarantee

Mike and Gay may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
