I'm Katie B., the breeder behind Red Dirt Doxies located in Gerber, CA. At Red Dirt Doxies, we have been building our reputation as a trusted dog breeder in Gerber California since we bred our first Dachshund back in 2012. We take our responsibilities very seriously and strive to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all our puppies.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Years ago my mother purchased a little red female for me and it was love at first sight. Her name was Bella. Through loving Bella I decided to become a breeder and so we began the journey. I later purchased a breeding pair and that is how Red Dirt Doxies began. Since then I have grown my reputation and my business in to being a very reputable breeder. There is no love like a Dachshunds love!

  • What makes your program special?

    We pride ourselves on having quality puppies. We raise our pups in our home, they are handled and played with daily. They are all truly a part of our family and very loved. Our goal is to raise heathy, well tempered puppies that will make outstanding companions. We ensure that you will be receiving a healthy, vetted and vaccinated puppy that is ready to go home and start their new journey.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include longhaired and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include gray (blue), piebald, sable, cream, red, black, chocolate, fawn (isabella), brindle, chocolate and tan, fawn (isabella) and cream, gray (blue) and tan, gray (blue) and cream, chocolate and cream, blue and tan, black and tan, black and cream, fawn (isabella) and tan, blue and cream, wheaten, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Katie

Katie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Katie partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $5,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“All puppies come with AKC Limited Registration, vet check, age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, socialization, puppy food, blanket, and favorite toys. I require a $500 non refundable deposit to hold any puppy. The will be subtracted from your total purchase price.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
