  • Why did you start breeding?

    I worked for another breeder and I loved the work, however, I really want to be my own boss and work at home.

  • What makes your program special?

    My dogs are first my pets. I breed for good personality and physical characteristics. I would be thrilled to help you find the puppy you have been searching for.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red, chocolate, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Tabitha

Tabitha has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Tabitha partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and $1,800 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The puppies will be vet check and vaccinated at 7 weeks. The puppies start deworming treatments at 2 weeks. Unless something happened on my end where I can not provide you with a puppy the deposit is non-refundable, for the following reasons vet expenses, food, my time I spend advertising and talking to potential clients.”

    We cannot say enough wonderful things about Low Down Dachshunds (Red Pyne Dachshunds) and Tabitha! We first found Low Down Dachshunds through Good Dog, and we brought home our first mini long-haired dachshund, Moose, in June 2025. One year later, in June 2026, we came back for Kobe. Moose (FKA Pinto Bean) and Kobe (FKA Porkchop) have different parents, but both of them are absolutely beautiful, funny, snuggly, smart, and full of personality. They have brought so much joy into our home, and we truly feel like our family is complete — for now, anyway! Who knows? We may be contacting Tabitha again someday! From the very beginning, Tabitha was so sweet, communicative, and prompt with every message. She answered questions, kept us updated, and made the whole process feel easy and reassuring. She was also incredibly flexible with pickup times and locations, and even drove a bit to meet us, which we appreciated so much. Both times, our puppies came home with vet records organized in a “Pet Passport,” which was such a thoughtful and helpful touch. Tabitha also sent them home with a wonderful gift bag that included food, toys they already loved, a blanket they had used, wee-wee pads for the trip home just in case, a portable bowl, and other little gifts. It was clear that she had thought through what would make the transition easier for the puppies and for us. Most importantly, Moose and Kobe are amazing dogs. They are healthy, loving, hilarious, affectionate, and incredibly smart. You can tell they were loved and well cared for before they ever came home to us. We are so grateful to have connected with Low Down Dachshunds. Tabitha gave us not just puppies, but two little family members who have completely stolen our hearts. I would absolutely recommend Low Down Dachshunds to anyone looking for a beautiful, well-loved dachshund from someone who truly cares.

    My experience with Low Down Bassets was great. Tabitha answered all my questions and met me at the airport for pickup. My puppy looked great and was obviously taken care of well. He is a beautiful, happy, loveable dog and our family couldn't be any happier.
