Meet the breeder

I'm Jeannie R., the breeder behind Reeves Australian Shepherds located in Laurel, MS. I take pride in breeding my dogs for quality and temperament, with a low drive. I'm confident my dogs will be great companions! I have been breeding standard Australian Shepherds since 1999. I want to make the transition from my loving home to yours as seamless as possible by giving personal attention to each little pup to ensure it is well-rounded and prepared to excel in its forever home.

Q. & A. with Jeannie

  • Why did you start breeding?

Aussies have always been one of my favorite breeds and the only breed that I raise and will ever raise. They are so smart! I was raised on a farm with livestock, and we had a couple of Aussie mixes; later on, I was around horse club members who had Aussies, and I fell in love with the breed. It's an amazing feeling knowing that I made a positive contribution to these dogs and the families who love them!
  • What makes your program special?

My dogs are an integral part of my family and daily life. This creates the ideal environment for puppies. From birth, they grow in a secure, loving environment where they know that they matter to their family -- that they have a purpose. It would be my pleasure to introduce your family to your next forever companion!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
