Meet the breeder

I'm Lorie S., the breeder behind Remington Kennels, LLC located in Lookout, CA. From the moment our pups are born, they’re handled on purpose, with a purpose. Our little “LollyPop’s Farm” is in the mountains of far northeast California. Growing our little farm and breeding program, producing quality pups: well rounded, responsibly bred pups to love forever.

Q. & A. with Lorie

  • Why did you start breeding?

As a service dog handler, knowing the costs involved in obtaining and training a dog, I decided to start a breeding program with the goal of eventually breeding, training and donating service dogs. I donate every litter but until October 2022, I hadn’t the knowledge to train. I am still learning and each and every pup gets me closer to my goal of training and donating service dogs. I do offer basic training packages now, and hope to train service dogs for others one day soon… with enough practice, work and dedication.
  • What makes your program special?

I breed for intelligence and the temperament of the dog. I breed for trainability because I know a wild untrainable dog is a horrible experience. My goal is to provide a quality pup for you to love you forever and to love you for his or her life. My pups are raised in my home and I love what I do! Our puppies are using a potty tray by 4 weeks. They go home almost completely house trained. We do offer basic training packages to help with the stress and work of owning a new puppy. Reach out for details!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Aussiedoodle puppies are mini size. Double Doodle puppies are standard size. Bernedoodle puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Saint Berdoodle puppies include merle, white and red, brindle and white, rust and white, orange and white, mahogany and white, white and brown, and brown and white. Aussiedoodle puppies include apricot, blue merle, red merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Double Doodle puppies include cream, brindle, brown, chocolate, apricot, yellow, parti, and black. Bernedoodle puppies include brown and white, black and white, tri-color, phantom, blue merle, and merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Lorie was amazing to work with. She answered all of our questions, was so flexible with the meet up and had the puppies so prepared! They came with a huge bag of toys, food and other necessities. We had to drive 12 hours from Red Bluff to LA, then another 6 to Phoenix. The puppies were clearly potty trained and pottied in the litter box with pine pellets that we prurchased for the trip. Every. Time. We LOVE our beautiful puppies! THANK YOU LORIE!

Our bernedoodle puppy, Lottie, is full of smiles and silliness. We've had Lottie for 2 weeks now. Lorie is kind, responsive, flexible, and knowledgeable on the whole journey from inquiry to bringing the puppy home after. Bringing home Lottie came with many goodies and a microchip, which helped make the after process much easier. We encountered a minor issue after a few days, but Lorie was understanding, adaptable, and caring to the issue and was resolved. Lottie is our second puppy and she brings so many new sweet little moments. She can be playful, calm, sneaky, and full of energy. We appreciate the starter potty training factor that Lottie was quick to communicate to us that she needs to go potty by waiting or sitting by the door. Would recommend Remington Kennels for anyone looking for doodle mix breeds!

Lorie was fantastic to work with! She answered all of our questions and gave me regular updates of my pup the whole time. Everytime she sent videos and pictures felt like Christmas. We had to delay transport 2 weeks because of scheduling, so he spent extra time with Lorie after the go home date, but he came to us happy and healthy and he is the most good natured sweetheart boy we could ask for.

Lorie was amazing to work with, and I couldn't be happier with my puppy, he's absolutely perfect. He's gorgeous, confident, sweet, so smart and motivated to learn, and already has great foundational training. He fit so easily into my home with other pets and a new-for-him routine since his first day here, which speaks volumes about Lorie's breeding program and the early socialization her puppies get. I've raised a ton of puppies and can't say enough about how easy this (giant, fluffy, adorable) little guy has been and how solid his temperament is. I know I'll be back for another in a year or two.
