I'm Barbara R., the breeder behind Remington Labradors located in Arvada, CO. I work hard to produce healthy, happy Labrador Retriever puppies, and I take great pride in my breeding program. I love being a breeder. It's so fulfilling to have the opportunity to create companionship and love and to see the positive effect that a beloved, furry companion can have on its family.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    As I learned more about responsible breeding practices, I wanted to do my part to produce healthy, well-bred puppies. It has been an absolute joy of a journey, and I am so happy to be able to share these wonderful dogs with other loving families and individuals.
  • What makes your program special?

    I spend lots of time with my puppies and enjoy training and socializing them so that they will be best prepared for their new lives with their forever families. I am passionate about Labrador Retrievers, and my love for these dogs shines through in every aspect of my breeding program.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $600 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $1,900 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Barbara may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Breeder-Reported Testing

Excellent level

Remington Labradors reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Labrador Retrievers.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Brucellosis

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • D Locus (Dilute) DNA test, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Hereditary Nasal Parakeratosis (HNPK), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), DNA Disease Panel, Cystinuria Type 1A, Labrador Retriever Type, Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
