I'm January S., the breeder behind Rescued Dreams Border Collies located in Crawfordsville, IN. We are focused on breeding top-quality sport and conformation Border Collies. We genetically and OFA test all of our dogs. Our dogs are all selected for excellent temperaments and clear health testing. We are striving to produce dogs that better the breed and place them in homes that will continue our legacy!

    Our puppies have rough coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

    Our puppies include tri-color, slate merle, lilac merle, blue merle, red merle, black, blue, gold, lilac, red, saddleback sable, and seal. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from January

January has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

January partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape.

Puppy prices include a $750 non-refundable deposit and between $1,250 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Temperament Test

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

    We've been wanting to add a puppy to our family of 2 other border collies and 2 boys (9 and 6) and the gold and white BC has been my dream to own. I researched and found Good Dog to find a trusted breeder which led me to January. She was so responsive (which is huge for me), kind, friendly, knowledgeable and someone who made the process so easy! My family member met January to pick up our Meli (new pup). January was very accommodating to the time and local place as well.     i could not have asked for a better experience! i first found Rescued Dreams in August of 2023 and January called me the day i inquired. i have always wanted a border collie but wasnt sure the breed would fit my lifestyle as a college student. we talked for an hour going over every possible detail. almost an entire YEAR later, i got a message from January informing me of a litter. she matched me with the perfect baby girl. i get so many compliments about Summit (Starry) and how well behaved she is for only 10 weeks old. she is amazing with kids, hardly ever barks, and is nonreactive towards other dogs. she is my dream dog!!

    Working with January was so easy! She was always available to answer my questions, and her organization of Winnie's pet records combined with January's advice on how to proceed from here has made the first week with the pup so easy. Winnie settles really well, and to my surprise is already doing so well with her potty training even at 8 weeks!     Ok. Obviously this is always a leap of faith. I chose January based on her reviews so I thought I would share mine. Communication: She was awesome! This was important to me. I have Goldens and the questions she answered were great. Never a delay in answers. She also spent time understanding that the pup would come to my office daily and be very active. She helped me pick the pup in her litter that would be the best fit, helped me arrange a nanny to transport, and provided a care kit for when the pup arrived. TAKE THE LEAP with this woman.
