I'm Caroline W., the breeder behind Rhine Valley Yorkies located in Austin, TX. Our program is dedicated to preserving and advancing the Yorkshire Terrier through intentional breeding focused on health, temperament, structure, and exceptional quality. We specialize in Babydoll and Teddy Bear Yorkshire Terriers and carefully selected imported champion bloodlines. Our focus is not simply on color, but on producing exceptional Yorkshire Terriers with health, correct structure, wonderful temperaments, and outstanding pedigrees. Every dog in our program is chosen with purpose, and each pairing is thoughtfully planned with the goal of improving the next generation. Our puppies are raised in our home with daily love, handling, and early socialization to help them become confident companions. At Rhine Valley Yorkies, we believe finding the right puppy is about more than appearance. We take the time to understand each family and provide lifelong support to our puppy families. Our mission is to preserve the beauty, intelligence, and loving nature of the Yorkshire Terrier while building a program founded on integrity and excellence.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My love for small companion breeds began with my first Yorkshire Terrier, who was a rescue and introduced me to the wonderful personality and charm of this breed. My journey as a breeder began in 2008 with Havanese, where I developed my foundation and appreciation for responsible breeding, health, temperament, and producing well-rounded companions. After years of experience, I returned to the Yorkshire Terrier breed that first captured my heart. My goal with Rhine Valley Yorkies is to create a program focused on preserving and improving the breed through thoughtful breeding decisions, with an emphasis on health, structure, temperament, and the true character of the Yorkshire Terrier.

    At Rhine Valley Yorkies, we are focused on building a program with the future of the Yorkshire Terrier in mind. We carefully combine exceptional bloodlines, health-conscious breeding decisions, and a commitment to producing correct structure and wonderful temperaments. We believe true quality goes beyond color, with our priority being healthy, confident, loving companions that represent the beauty, intelligence, and character of this remarkable breed. Each puppy receives individual attention, early socialization, and a strong foundation to help them thrive with their forever family. We take pride in raising puppies that are not only beautiful, but also well-rounded companions with the qualities families cherish for a lifetime.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include liver, chocolate and tan, parti, black and gold, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Caroline

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Caroline partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $6,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Each puppy comes with age-appropriate vaccinations, routine dewormings, a vet check, a puppy pack, and a limited one-year health guarantee.”

Contract & health guarantee

Caroline may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
