I'm Shayne L., the breeder behind Ridgeline Retrievers located in Centerville, PA. We are Ridgeline Retrievers. All of our dogs live in our home with us and all of our puppies are raised using Puppy Culture!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I started my program in 2015 with my beautiful girl Bailey who is now retired. I've always had an interest in genetics and want to continue my program and better the breed by adding to the breed standard. I love being able to get the best mix of a breeding pair both in looks and personality.

  • What makes your program special?

    I take huge pride in my dogs and only want to add to the breed. I choose my parents based on their excellent qualities. I also spend a lot of hands-on time raising the puppies to ensure they are well socialized and adjusted before going to their new homes. When it comes to my dogs i go the extra mile!

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Shayne

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"All of our puppies are the same price regardless of size, color, or gender. Price includes microchip and limited AKC registration. Deposits are taken once puppies are born and puppy choice happens in the order of deposit. It is non-refundable in most circumstances."

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

    My wife Amie and I decided to start the search for a new family dog through Good Dog shortly after our family dog Quincy had passed away spring of 2024. It took nearly 4 months of back and fourth between which bread of dog to land on and when to make the decision. In the fall we visited a local retriever breeder and made the decision that a black or silver lab was our go to next dog.
