Meet the breeder

I'm Rhonda M., the breeder behind Riegelz Cockers located in New Riegel, OH. My dogs are part of my family and not just for breeding. They have wonderful temperaments and are excellent specimens of the breed. I breed to produce high-quality, sound, healthy puppies with excellent temperaments. I take my job seriously, knowing that my puppies will become someone's beloved pet. Each puppy is considered a member of my family, and I ensure they are socialized, healthy, and prepared to excel in their forever homes. My dogs are bred for those specifics, and I take pride in my breeding program.

Q. & A. with Rhonda

  • Why did you start breeding?

I purchased my first show dog from a friend and that is where it all started. In a few years I bred my first litter and fell in love with showing. I regularly participate in conformation shows and started breeding to continue and improve upon my prized Cocker Spaniel line. Not all of my puppies can become my next show prospects, so I place the others in loving pet homes. It is an honor to represent this breed and create opportunities for others to experience the same joy that I've found in raising these wonderful dogs.
  • What makes your program special?

I do not breed my dogs unless they are fully healthy and genetically tested. I am dedicated to always having responsible policies when it comes to breeding, socializing, and training my pups. I love what I do and truly want the very best for my puppies and their forever families. My puppies are placed in homes to be a pet. My dogs are not placed to be breeding. I dedicate all my time to my dogs and their care. All my dogs are in my house and do not live in a kennel.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red roan, red and white, blue roan and tan, black and white, blue roan, and black white and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
