I'm Andrea M., the breeder behind Rigas Mini Aussies LLC located in Covington, PA. We raise our puppies on a combination of several curriculums - Badass Breeder, Puppy Culture, Rule of 7s, and some of our own techniques. These programs focus on building the foundation for lifelong loyal companions. Our curriculum starts your dog on the right foot from the day they are born.

Why did you start breeding?
We’ve owned Australian Shepherds for the last 40 years, starting with Standard Aussies then more recently falling head over heals for the miniature Aussie.What makes your program special?
All of our dogs were handpicked and raised from puppies in our home (rather than in a kennel) and have all been full genetic panel tested.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Toy Australian Shepherd puppies include red & white, black & white, red, black, black tri, blue merle, red merle, and red tri. Australian Shepherd puppies include red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include blue merle, black tri, red tri, red merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

We require a non-refundable deposit of $400.00 to hold a puppy in your name."

About Breezy
Breezy is another one of our gorgeous red tri females and we are so excited for her furture! She is registered ASDR (Miniature Australian Shepherd) and is 16" tall and 30 pounds. Breezy is a super fun and spunky girl who can make your heart melt with her big blue eyes. She has the funniest facial expressions and her spunk and her fun loving spirit have won us over. She is a little smarty pants, loves to learn new things and is quick to catch on to everything. We absolutely adore our Breezy girl!

Max is our gorgeous blue merle male. He is dual registered AKC (Australian Shepherd) and ASDR (Miniature Australian Shepherd) and is 17.5" tall and 35 pounds. Max is a complete goofball who always makes us laugh. Super intelligent and agile, he is a big bundle of love and fun and is always up for any adventure. Max excels at fetch and loves running Fast Cat! He is also an absolutely cuddle bug who thinks he is a lap dog and loves getting belly rubs. Max passes his amazing temperament and looks onto his puppies. NAD - Clear (N/N) m/M267

About Kali
We are so in love with our Kali girl! She is a gorgeous red tri with beautiful markings and one blue eye and one marbled eye. Kali is dual registered AKC (Australian Shepherd) and ASDR (Miniature Australian Shepherd) and is 17.5" and 32 pounds. Miss Kali is such a fun loving, goofy girl who is always happy and up for any adventure. She is toy obsessed and absolutely loves to play fetch but she can also settle right down and cuddle with you on the couch. We recently started her running FastCat and she loves it. Kali is a wonderful all around dog and a favorite around here!

About Mara
Mara is our newest edition and this little itty bitty girl is a treasure! She is registered ASDR (Miniature Australian Shepherd) and is 15" tall and 22 pounds. Mara may be small but she has a big personality! She is absolutely adorable and a little spitfire. She is a classic black tri with big blue eyes who loves to run and play and definitely keeps up with the big dogs! We couldn't be more excited to have Miss Mara here with us!

We are SO excited to add this gorgeous boy to our program and cannot wait to see what Isaac produces! He is a sweet, sweet boy and a total love. Isaac is dual registered AKC (Australian Shepherd) and ASDR (Miniature Australian Shepherd) and is 15" tall and 22 pounds. Isaac is already showing he has a fun loving side like his dad Max and a sweet nature like his momma Penny Lane. He is an exceedingly good boy with an easy going, even temperament. He's well on his way to earning his Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and we are excited to start his running FastCat and CAT/CABT. Isaac is an absolute gem and we are head over heels in love with him!

About Coco Chanel
Coco Chanel is one of our beautiful red-tri girls. She is registered AKC (Australian Shepherd) and ASDR (Miniature Australian Shepherd) and is 17.5" tall and 40 pounds. Coco has a gorgeous dark mahogany coat and bright blue eyes. She is super sweet, absolutely loves belly rubs and snuggling on the couch, and is exceedingly loyal to her people. Coco's favorite thing to do is play catch and will play for hours. When not playing fetch, she enjoys a good nap on the couch. Coco is exceptionally well built and has a quirky, happy-go-lucky personality.

About Maggie
Maggie is a gorgeous black tri with stunning copper and beautiful bright blue eyes. Maggie is registered ASDR (Miniature Australian Shepherd) and should mature to around 15" and 28 pounds. Maggie is such a sweet little girl. She is the smallest of our females but has a big, loving personality. Maggie is super smart, loves to run and play and can definitely hold her own with the big dogs! She is also a huge fan of cuddling on the couch and lots and lots of belly rubs! m/M224

I really enjoyed the experience of getting to know our breeder at Rigas Mini Aussies. Once we found this breeder, we contacted Andrea and asked her questions about how she raises puppies and questions about the parents and her precious dogs. My husband and I had a such a great phone call with her, and then we asked her to provide us with the contact info of a previous liter’s dog mom to call as a reference. Andrea happily gave us the name of a past liter’s buyer and we had a great call with that owner who also said the experience with Rigas Mini Aussies was a positive one. The communication once we decided to move forward and put a deposit down on one of Rigas current pups was wonderful. Since our pup was already born we got many updated photos and stories and the breeder began to call our new puppy by the name we chose. When the day finally came to drive to the breeder and take our puppy home everything went smoothly and we got a wonderful going home bag. Since coming home with our new puppy we continue to keep in touch with the breeder and send her updates and any questions I’ve had she’s been super helpful to answer. Rigas Mini Aussies has been really great and I recommend them to anyone looking for a great and personal experience with a breeder who really loves their puppies.
