



I'm Adrian & Deanna S., the breeder behind Rigel Border Collies located in Simi Valley, CA. We have been involved with Border Collies since 2011, and they are an integral part of our family. We are actively involved with both local and national clubs serving the breed, and we are always busy with our dogs. Conformation, herding, and obedience are just some of the activities we participate in. Our Border Collies come from lines demonstrating excellence in both conformation and herding ability, and they have amazing temperaments making them ideal family companions.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (SHOR), Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA), Gonioscopy
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

She's doing great. Calmer, hardly any jumping. She likes the cart and has slowly been meeting neighbors and dogs. Bill, Sophie and I are all settling in together. Doing a little leash work too.
