I'm Tiffany R., the breeder behind Riley Family Shih Tzus located in Avondale, AZ. Having a dog in our lives is truly a blessing, and we find immense joy in offering that same companionship to other families. Our goal as breeders is to preserve the unique qualities of the breed, focusing on traits like health, conformation, and temperament. We prioritize proper socialization and training for our puppies and are dedicated to promoting responsible dog ownership every step of the way.

Why did you start breeding?
After having a negative experience with a fraudulent breeder, I decided to dedicate myself to helping families find their Shih Tzu the right way. Our family has a deep love for the breed, and we cherish all of our fur babies. My family and I take great pride in being ethical breeders and guiding families in finding a healthy, happy fur baby to love and welcome into their homes.What makes your program special?
My Husband and I work daily with each puppy making sure they are all meeting developmental milestones. Puppies are pad trained and will be introduced to a recall. We have created a puppy playground with various toys and obstacles to help puppies learn and thrive. Our puppies are loved and treated just like family.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include tricolor, chocolate, black, liver, black gold and white, liver and white, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Tiffany has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $3,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes first round of vaccines, deworming, microchip and a vet exam. Your new furbaby will also go home with a goody bag including food, toys, treats, vitamins, portable water bowl and training pads. Deposit is needed to hold the puppy and will go towards your balance owed.”

Litter update on 12 Oct. •…Puppies took a stroll outside enjoying all the smells! These little ones are not able to go walk outside until they are fully vaccinated as they are vulnerable to different illnesses including parvo. They were anxious to get out as we passed by flower bushes and trees. Their noses were working overtime. Can’t wait to see updates form their owners once these babies are outside living their best lives. Pickup day is coming up and I can’t wait to see everyone! ❤️

Litter update on 06 Oct. •…🐾 Puppy Pick-Up Day Info! 🐾 📅 Pick-Up Day: Saturday, October 18th (please send us a message on your preferred pick up time, we do pickups from 9am-2pm) We're so excited for you to meet your new furry family member! As we get closer to the big day, here are a few important reminders to help ensure a smooth transition home: 🏥 Vet Appointment Reminder Please schedule your puppy’s first vet visit within 3 business days of pickup. This is an important step to keep your puppy healthy and to stay on track with their vaccination schedule. 💉 Vaccination Schedule Your puppy’s next round of shots is due between 10–12 weeks of age. Until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are vulnerable to illnesses. Please take the following precautions: • 🏡 Keep your puppy indoors at home as much as possible. • 🛒 If visiting a pet store, carry your puppy at all times to avoid exposure. 🚗 Car Ride Tips All puppies will go home with training pads to help during the ride — it’s completely normal for them to be a little nervous. So far, none of the puppies have shown signs of car sickness, and they enjoy having water available during the ride. I will send home a portable water bowl and bottle of water. 🎁 Go-Home Tote Bag Includes: You'll be receiving a special go-home tote filled with puppy essentials: • 🥣 Starter food • 🍖 Treats • 💧 Portable water bowl • 🧸 Toys and blanket that smells like mom 🐶 Stay in Touch! Litter update on 25 Sept. •…🎉🐾 Happy 7 Weeks to Our Shih Tzu Puppies! 🐾🎉 Time is flying, and we can’t believe our little fluffballs are already 7 weeks old today! 🐶💕 Here’s a look at all the milestones they’ve reached on their journey so far: ✨ 1. Bursting with Personality! Each pup is showing their unique character — some are playful explorers, others are cuddle bugs, and a few are already little comedians. 🤪💖 ✨ 2. Social Butterflies in Training They’re learning to play with each other, recognize humans, and build positive interactions — essential for confident, well-adjusted pups. ✨ 3. Teething & Chewing Tiny teeth are in, and so is the urge to chew everything! They're discovering textures and working out those gums. Time to stock up on puppy-safe chew toys! 🦴 ✨ 4. Potty Pad Progress Accidents still happen, but they’re getting the hang of using potty pads. Smart little learners! 🧼🐾 ✨ 5. Eating Like Champs No more nursing — they’re fully weaned and loving their puppy kibble! Meals are a messy, joyful event. 🍽️🐶 ✨ 6. First Vet Visits & Health Checks They have their first check-ups next week 10/3! Puppies are growing strong and healthy. ✨ 7. Ivanka is our well tempered AKC lady . She’s our sweet, sassy, and playful girl. Who loves to be the princess of our palace. Ivanka is from Odessa Joy, a champion breeding line in Ukraine. Her line has 32 champions out of 62 ancestors. Evee is Embarked, AKC DNA Profiled, & OFA/CHIC certified for eyes, patella and cardio.

My husband and I have only had Shih Tzus over the past 42 years. We love the breed and we were delighted when we found the Riley Family Shih Tzu breeders on the internet via Good Dog. From our initial contact, Tiffany was incredibly responsive and answered all our questions thoroughly. When visited their home to meet the puppies, we were impressed by the clean environment in their home where the puppies were kept. The male puppy we adopted is in excellent health, with all necessary vaccinations up to date, microchipping done, and DNA documentation provided. He had also been paper-trained. Tiffany provided detailed health records and even recommended their local vet for follow-up care to keep our little guy on schedule. Also included in our take-home bag was a sample and list of the food, vitamins, and treats they had been consuming. Our male Shih Tzu has a wonderful playful temperament, is well-socialized, and has adapted quickly to our home. Riley Family Shih Tzu Breeder is very knowledgeable and provided valuable advice on training and care. While we were waiting for our pickup date, we were delighted that Tiffany sent us photos and videos and updates of our little pup along with his siblings. She has been available for all of our questions we have had even after bringing our puppy home.
