Meet the breeder

I'm Brianna O., the breeder behind River View Labradors located in Williamsburg, PA. I have grown up with Labradors my entire life, and wanted to follow in my mother's foot steps, who also breeds Labradors.

Q. & A. with Brianna

  • Why did you start breeding?

My mother also breeds Labradors, and my passion to breed these Labradors increased, so I decided to follow in foot steps.
  • What makes your program special?

We strive to breed quality English Labradors with deep chests, blocky heads, and the short otter tail. All of our breeding stock has health clearences done, and PennHip or OFA done as well. Our dogs have a large yard to exercise and play in.. we socialize with our dogs and puppies on a daily basis.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in a kennel on my property.

Breeder-Reported Testing

Great level

River View Labradors reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Labrador Retrievers.

  • Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • D Locus (Dilute) DNA test, Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC)

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
