I'm Colette K., the breeder behind Rock Ridge Frenchies located in Redmond, OR. We're an AKC French Bulldog breeding hobbyist, raising healthy and happy pups in our small-family home. All of our dogs are health and DNA tested through Embark to ensure quality. Our dogs are bred to improve the breed in health, structure, and temperament. We look forward to introducing you to one of our beloved puppies - they are charismatic, loving, and cute as can be!
Q. & A. with Colette
Why did you start breeding?
We bought a male French Bulldog as a pet and made many online connections during his first year of life. Through a community of other passionate owners and breeders, we decided that we wanted to contribute to our area the same level of passion and dedication to the breed as others have done worldwide. Now we can ensure that other families and dog lovers in our area can also own a French Bulldog, without having to travel for hours to get one.
What makes your program special?
We are a small, hands-on program. We don't hop from one litter to the next, we simply focus on our dogs and their health one day at a time. We are special because all of our love and dedication shows strong in our dog's temperaments. Our puppies receive full care and attention each day, because they are part of our family in our home.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include brindle and fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
