Meet the breeder

I'm Michael B., the breeder behind Rock Springs Pugs located in Blountsville, AL. I am an honest and reputable breeder. My reviews reflect that. I do not ship my puppies. Meeting in person on whatever adoption/pickup date we agree to is also required because there is paperwork that must be signed by the specific person adopting from me. There are no exceptions. I also ONLY accept payments through Gooddog's payment service. There are people who keep contacting me to try to get me to break my policies and/or go against Gooddog's terms of service. I will not. I only breed beautiful, healthy, agile, intelligent pugs and it shows. My pups are raised and socialized in our home. If you want a healthy, beautiful pug from a very helpful, knowledgeable, reputable breeder that is there for you the entire puppy's life, you have found me. My pugren are kept up to date on vaccinations, worming and they are groomed regularly using professional grooming equipment. My pugs are spoiled beyond belief, pampered, fed high quality food and given a quality prenatal supplement during their pregnancy. My pregnant mothers are very comfortable, relaxed and accustomed to my in home whelping room and a lot of time and effort is put into socializing them. Most of my adoptees and I converse with one another, share photos and pug stories quite regularly because we are like a big family. Did I mention that when you adopt a pug from me you get far more than just a beautiful, healthy pup because it doesn't end there. I don't just disappear on you. I stay readily available to advise and assist if needed. I am here for my adoptees and their pups the entirety of the pup's life. What are you waiting for? Go apply and tell me about yourself and what you are looking for in a pug! I'm looking forward to helping you find the right pug for you!

Q. & A. with Michael

  • Why did you start breeding?

Love for the breed through my own experience as an adoptee and raising my own pug many many years ago. I raised show goats for many years also but I was so in love with pugs. During that time I applied my experience, knowledge and skills to raising pugs which lead to the passionate desire to better the breed. I found it very rewarding to bring so much happiness to families.
  • What makes your program special?

My program is special because a lot more goes into it than just breeding and making pups. Many years of experience, research and hard work gives me a unique edge when it comes to whelping fantastic litters so I can ensure every puppy gets off to a strong, confident, healthy, happy start in life. It doesn't take long conversing with me to figure out that I really know what I'm doing and I know my breed. It is an obsession! I pour my life into caring for my pugs and it shows! I can provide many references! I am now sending every puppy home with a first heartworm treatment as well. All paperwork, vaccination record, health check and all other paperwork will always be handed to you on pickup day.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Michael

Michael has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

“You MUST be 19 or older to adopt a pug from me. Anyone under 19 MUST have a parent or court appointed guardian represent them and be involved in all communications with me throughout the entire process AND that adult must show up in person at pickup and be willing to sign all paperwork at pickup. I will not register a puppy to anyone under the age of 19;however, once the puppy goes home and the adult I do business with may at their own discretion register the puppy into anyone's name they like, but I personally want ALL business, legal and communications matters to be directly supervised between myself and the adult of 19 or older in charge and responsible for said puppy.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $695 - $2,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.
Pay over time with Klarna.

“NOTICE: I only adopt to people who can pick up their puppy in person face to face. There are no exceptions to this as far as I am concerned. I also ONLY accept any and all payments through Gooddog's payment system. All puppies will come with a complete health check form signed by my vet, microchip, shot and worming record to prove their vaccinations and worming with my vet's name and contact information. Also included is a very nice puppy starter kit with toys (rubbed all over the mother), collar, bowls, glove brush, poopy bag dispenser, puppy pads, puppy wipes and other very fun, cool items my wife randomly includes. (Items may vary according to availability but will always be surprisingly nice and helpful). The deposit: This is to help prevent dishonest people from being able to get me to promise to hold a puppy to adoption age with no intention of following through with adoption. It's not good for the puppies and not fair or honest to hardworking, reputable breeders and families that would love to adopt and provide good, safe, loving homes for their puppy.”

I had a wonderful experience with Micheal Booker on Good Dog. He is a very reputable breeder who took the time to answer all of my questions and made me feel confident throughout the entire process. Since bringing my pug home, I’ve received so many compliments from my vet about how healthy she is. Lou Lou has such a great personality. She is not lazy at all and loves to play and stay active. I am so grateful for such a positive experience and would definitely recommend Micheal Booker to anyone looking for a healthy, happy pug.
