I'm BRENDA C., the breeder behind Rockin Rivers AKC Maltese & Malshi's located in Umatilla, OR. We breed to preserve the unique characteristics of the AKC Maltese while considering a variety of traits, including health, conformation, and temperament. We also breed and offer for sale ONLY F1 hybrid Malshi puppies.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    In the 90's I bred and Showed AKC Dobermans, Love it, my kids all did AKC Jr handlers, it was a glorious time! Once my kids grew and had family's of their own I decided to go with the breeds that I loved as a child, and that would be the toy-fluffy breeds. I love Maltese & Shih Tzu, both are small hypoallergenic lap dogs with the best personalities!!

  • What makes your program special?

    I am a hands-on, conscious breeder, ensuring my animals have perfect conformation and the best temperaments. Puppies are raised in the heart of my home and are exposed to everyday life.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from BRENDA

BRENDA has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,075 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“AKC Maltese puppies are $2500 - $3,500 and include a non-refundable deposit of $500. Malshi puppies are registered with National Hybrid Registry are $1575 and include a non-refundable deposit of $200. Your deposit is non-refundable.”

BRENDA may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
