Q. & A. with Katrina
Why did you start breeding?
My love for Australian Shepherds inspired me to share this amazing breed with the world in a responsible way. I have always loved dogs and was excited to establish my breeding program. I have loved the journey and I am a proud breeder of mini & toy Aussies with a focus on genetics, conformation, and the overall mental and physical health of my puppies. I love placing happy, healthy puppies with loving families.
What makes your program special?
All of my dogs are genetically cleared, are from champion lines, and are up to the breed standard. As a responsible breeder, I focus on producing quality over quantity. I do everything I can to ensure my puppies have everything they need to develop into healthy and happy dogs. In my breeding program, good health and temperament are essential, cuteness is guaranteed, and lots of love is always included.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Australian Shepherd puppies include black & white, red merle, blue merle, and black tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Little puppy playtime in the grass. Momma Gucci really appreciated the break, and good texture stimulation for the puppies.

Moon, mom
Miniature Australian Shepherd
About Moon
Moon is a thick beautiful blue merle female. She is on the large side of mini, and has bone for days. She has the sweetest disposition and loves bottom scratches. Her favorite game is fetch and to chase our other dogs around the yard. She also loves swimming in the pond in the summer. She has one marbled and one solid brown eye.
Rip, dad
Miniature Australian Shepherd
About Rip
Rip is my sweetheart with hair for miles. He lives in the house with us and is the most well mannered gentleman. He is very protective of our three children when my husband "play fights" with them, barking and "attacking" him. He is extremely stocky built with a very blocky head. He has two gorgeous blue eyes that are mesmerizing.
Gucci, mom
Miniature Australian Shepherd
About Gucci
Gucci is a high drive kind of gal. She loves to play chase and will follow anything that moves. She loves swimming in our pond and is the absolute sweetest girl. Her favorite thing other than playing chase is to get lots of pets and scratches. She is a DM carrier as well as HC carrier. Which means absolutely nothing to the pet buyer as we carefully select our Sire to Dam to ensure that we get NO affected puppies with genetic abnormalities/mutations.
Uno, dad
Miniature Australian Shepherd
About Uno
Uno is a very sweet boy with a shy disposition. He has two blue eyes, and throws beautiful babies. He is panel clear by parentage and is a dilute carrier as well as a yellow carrier. This gives Rocky Hill the opportunity to raise dilute and yellow babies, which is non standard but beautiful none the less.
Star, mom

About Star

Katrina has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Katrina has been wonderful to work with and it’s obvious that she maintains very high standards, both in the Aussies she breeds and families she selects. She is knowledgeable about the breed and their potential health concerns and ensures she is not breeding puppies who will grow up to have severe medical issues. She was super responsive and would send us pictures of our babies while we anxiously waited to bring them home. Both our fur babies have been wonderful additions to our family and are some of the sweetest pups we’ve ever seen. I would 100% recommend Rocky Hill Aussies if you are considering an Aussie addition to your family
