I'm Desiree R., the breeder behind Ross Vegas Kennels located in Chattanooga, TN. Each of our dogs has brought so much happiness to us throughout their lives. We want to do our part to produce wonderful, healthy dogs that can bring other people joy as well, and we strive to provide each of our puppies with loving homes where they can live long happy lives.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We started with breeding quarter horses while growing up and we always had a herding bred dog mostly blue Heeler but quickly fell in love with all the breeds in the herding group

  • What makes your program special?

    we try to match each individual temperament to the appropriate home so we minimize REHOMING situations in the future for the puppy, this way we hopefully place our puppies in forever homes!! I also provide shipping myself I don’t contract transportation out as I’ve heard and witnessed horror stories on paying some transport companies!!

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Poodle puppies are toy size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Border Collie puppies have rough coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Poodle puppies include black, red, and phantom. Border Collie puppies include blue merle, red merle, blue, gold, and white and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Desiree

Desiree has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Desiree partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $750 non-refundable deposit and between $750 - $2,750 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"Price includes: ABCA and/or AKC registration depending on parents and how they are registered. Some of my dogs are dual registered. ( ABCA/ AKC paperwork will be limited rights meaning no breeding rights ABCA paperwork are mailed out after puppies are in their new homes registration will be mailed to each new owner when they arrive. This is the only registry that requires us to register the litter as a whole and no temp registration is given with the puppies! AKC provided temporary registrations so those will be provided upon pickup of your puppy. — And — if breeding rights are desired an additional $500 will be added to eligible puppies listed price! ( breeding rights only on desirable puppies according to breed standards) * All age appropriate vaccines/ deworming every 2 weeks of birth with record * 1 yr Health guarantee *A gift bag with favorite toy/chew& treats *collar & leash! . $750 non- refundable but may be transferred to a future litter if you decide to cancel. ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS ON DEPOSITS OR THE FINAL PURCHASE PAYMENTS …If a puppy is unsatisfactory per a veterinarian for genetic issues ONLY you are welcome to return the puppy within 7 days and another puppy will be offered In place of your puppy. If no puppy is available you will be offered a puppy from an upcoming litter. No exceptions will be made on this."

    Things went wonderful the only hiccup was that they a delay in Dallas but Desiree was wonderful and the pup is doing great a little on the bitting side but wise is great we did get a distemper shot after we showed the vet Desiree send all her paper work

    Desiree was so helpful in every way she promptly responded to my initial application for one of her pups and she was available to me if I had any questions or concerns and always got back to me same day in a timely manner, if and when I ever get another puppy its highly likely in fact definitely will go through Desiree again she made the entire process feel like a walk in the park. I chose a 6 week old puppy named Abby, Abby is a brown and white pup with a rough coat and ears that flop she is a very happy and rambunctious girl loves to play and ahow affection. Abby is so smart she learns and picks up on things sometimes same day. Abby and I developed a strong close bond very quickly when Abby isnt playing with her brother max (my cat) she is always by my side, she follows me everywhere I go and I really love how she feels so close to me she has made a huge positive impact on me I am so much happier with her around especially after going through some major personal changes in my life end of 2025. Now I couldn't picture a day with out Abby shes settled into the family so well and me and Abby care for each other deeply I very much look forward to every moment of every day I get to spend with her i am so grateful she came into my life!

    Working with Desiree was an excellent experience from start to finish. She was incredibly responsive, often replying within 10–15 minutes, and made the entire process smooth and easy. She went above and beyond to help us bring Storm home — her mother even personally delivered him from Tennessee to North Carolina so we could meet closer to where I live. Storm (formerly Malcom) arrived exactly as you hope a well-raised puppy will: confident, affectionate, and clearly well-socialized with people and children. He already knew the “sit” command and was partially potty trained, which made the transition into our home much easier. He was also extremely clean and well cared for — no fleas or ticks — and he passed his first veterinary exam with a perfect bill of health and no concerns. Storm has an incredible temperament and has quickly become a beloved member of our family. It’s clear he was raised with care and attention from the very beginning. I would absolutely recommend Desiree to anyone looking for a healthy, well-socialized Border Collie puppy.
